In New Hampshire, we only have around seven months or so to enjoy the warm, show-friendly weather. During those “other” five months, it’s either time to put the toys away or mount a set of snow tires and get on the salt-covered roads to make a buck. But, on a nice, sunny, August day last year (2018), the Granite State Chapter of the Antique Truck Club of America landed at the picturesque Feather Airport in Deering, NH for Shinefest 2018, welcoming over 400 trucks, for a day-long celebration of everything big rig.
This show always has something for everyone – sounds, sights, and if you needed a good fix of un-def treated diesel exhaust, this was your chance, as there was always a whiff of that sweet smell drifting around all day. Thanks to the ATCA members, all participants and the Rymes family, who opened the airport runway up to trucks for the entire day. This was an excellent, well-run event, and all involved should be proud of the effort and results.
