OCTOBER 2004 WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO...
The Three Little Dancing Bears Story and Photo by Truck Historian/Author Stan Holtzman
What ever happened to Connolly Transportation of Vernon, California? For that matter, what ever happened to the three little dancing bears “From The Land Of Sky Blue Water” and Hamm’s Beer? For many years, Hamm’s Beer was a favorite brew here in the West. Both Connolly Transportation and Market Express of Fresno pulled most of the loads of Hamm’s in California. The pride of the Connolly fleet was truck number 24, an LT Mack painted metallic blue and white. The driver of this truck, George Cushnie, was a true professional. George took pride in keeping his rig clean, as well as always presenting himself in a professional manner. The Connolly fleet consisted of LT Macks, Kenworths, Peterbilts, GMCs, Sterlings, Autocars and Internationals. Anyone that knows what happened to Connolly Transportation or George Cushnie can reach me at 10-4 Magazine by calling toll free 1-888-440-4104.
