This photo, taken in Tucson, Arizona back in 1967, shows Phil Wingfield’s neat-looking LT Mack. I only saw this rig once, and had the good fortune of taking its picture while at the Triple T Truck Stop, owned by Ira Morris. The black and white colors, minus the red sleeper, suggests that this rig at one time may have been pulling produce for Romney Produce, as these were the colors of the Romney fleet. I cannot tell you with any certainty what this rig had for power, but I wouldn’t be too surprised if it had a 262 horsepower Cummins engine, backed by 5+3 transmissions. Anybody that can tell me where this Mack is, or the whereabouts of it’s once owner Phil Wingfield, can contact me through the magazine by calling toll free 1-888-440-4104.
