It's Time To Show Our True Colors
UNITED WE STAND
STREAMLINED TRUCKING

Statistics have proven we learn and remember 10% of what we hear; 15% of what we see; 20% what we see and hear; 40% of what we discuss with others; 80% of what we experience directly; 90% of what we teach others. But on Tuesday, September 11, 2001 those statistics were forgotten when we all watched in horror the attacks on defenseless people and how a group of madmen used innocent men, women, and children to destroy not only landmarks of America’s freedom but thousands of people in those landmarks going about a normal Tuesday morning. Those images are engraved in our mind’s eye. The actions were something out of an action-adventure movie. We had become so accustomed to watching similar scenes in movies that at first it seemed surreal. Time has passed and there is no question that this was no movie but the real actions of a group of people that truly want to destroy America in any way they can!

This is the time not only for people to gather together but for the true backbone of America, the trucking industry, to step to the forefront as it has done with every war! Air traffic has become vulnerable - the trucking industry needs to pick up the slack. In previous wars, it has been proven no nation or army can survive without the transporting of goods. A few of my past articles were on the history of trucking and the Red Ball Express. Those stories were about the truckers that made sure the goods got through, no matter what. It will be the same in this war - the brotherhood of truckers will band together and do what ever it takes to support this nation.

In this war we do not know who or what will strike us but we do know one thing, WE ARE AMERICANS, and we will do everything in our power to keep AMERICA STRONG. May the Lord watch over you and grant you His blessing to keep those trucks rolling! - SharLeigh
