Cindy's Turquoise Road Runner

This month's "Readers And Their Rigs" comes to us from Cindy Seiter of Erlanger, Kentucky. One day last year, Cindy and her late husband were at Jeffries Truck Parts in Bell, California buying some items for their truck. The guys at Jeffries went crazy over their beautiful rig and insisted that they send a picture to the magazine. The truck is a 1999 Kenworth W900B with an 86" Studio sleeper, 500 horsepower Detroit, 18-speed O/D trans, 3:55 rears and a long 270" wheelbase. Painted turquoise blue (a color they picked from the Peterbilt book) with magenta, pink and orange stripes and covered with chrome and stainless, the truck turns a lot of heads as it travels down the road. The rig also features a stainless turbo wing, upholstered tank covers (front and rear), LED taillights, diamond plate steps and deck plating, a stainless air line box, Merritt tool boxes on each side, Panelite fuel tank farings and much more. Inside, the cab is decked out with jeweled switches, stainless gauges, an Air-Weigh on-board scale, a mahogany steering wheel, a chrome gear shifter with rosewood inset, and several other various pieces of rosewood trim. Leased to Roadrunner Freight Systems out of Cudahy, Wisconsin, Cindy ran coast to coast as a team with her late husband, but since his death she is now running solo. Cindy now stays more local, running between the Midwest and Florida on a regular basis, hauling LTL freight in her nice 48' dry van. The truck has competed in six truck shows over the years, and six times taken home a trophy. Cindy says her most prestigious win was finishing second place to Russ & Debbie Brown's "Razor’s Edge" at the Great American Truck Show in Dallas a few years back. Thanks for thinking about 10-4 Cindy - and since you don't make it out here much anymore, we’ll put you on our mailing list so you never miss an edition.
