ANYTHING GOES FOR JAMES CALL
This month’s “Readers And Their Rigs” features James Call from Whittier, CA. Purchased last year with only 100,000 miles on the odometer, James’ beautiful 1999 Freightliner XL Classic is painted white with three-tone green graphics. Equipped with a 500 Detroit backed by a 15-speed tranny, this sharp Condo has plenty of chrome and stainless (both inside and outside) and a 265” wheelbase. As a regular shopper at Got Shine Big Rig Accessories in Ontario, CA, James is convinced that “Got Shine” is the best place to get everything shiny for his truck. James did all the work himself, including some custom interior design. Still on his list are bigger stacks, full fiberglass fenders and those new clear LED lights. Being only 35 years old, James started trucking just eight years ago. Three years later he became an owner operator. James loves what he does, moving household goods all over the country for Western Relocations of Anaheim, California. Western Relocations is a fairly new division of Paul Arpin, a company that is family owned and operated. He loves this company so much he said, “I wouldn’t trade bosses for anything.” The company gives James a new trailer every year, and by moving about one million pounds per year with his partner Eric from Federal Way, WA (they load and unload themselves), he certainly doesn’t need to join a gym to stay in shape. They mostly truck moves for VIP’s and CEO’s, but James treats everyone with the same professional manner. James’ hood deflector says “Anything Goes” and we believe that to
be true. Our thanks go out to James for being a devoted reader of 10-4. If you’d like to be featured in the magazine, send your photos and some information to: 10-4 Reader Rigs, P.O. Box 7377, Huntington Beach, CA 92615. Thanks!
