TAKE A DAY
OFF ON OCTOBER 4TH Everyone here at 10-4 Magazine always looks forward to “10-4 Day” (October 4th), our very own official holiday. Each year, on October 4th, we hang up the closed sign and go have some fun. No proclamations had to be made, no bills passed in Congress and no presidential signature was required. Sure, everyone celebrates the Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day and all the other major holidays, but we thought that truckers and others involved in the trucking industry should get a day off, too. We invite all of our advertisers, writers and readers to take the day off and relax. Tell your boss, “Hey, its 10-4 Day!” We at 10-4 Magazine want to sincerely thank everyone for their continued support and friendship all year long. It is hard to imagine that we have been doing this for almost 14 years! Hopefully, 10-4 Day finds you enjoying a warm, sunny day with dry roads with no traffic jams, shippers that really ship and receivers that really receive (at least for this one day). We might be getting the 4th off, but you know we’ll be back at work on the 5th, doing our best to inform, entertain and enlighten the trucker’s of America. And speaking of work, we have photographic evidence that Erik and Dan of 10-4 Magazine really do work. Secretly captured here while on a photo shoot, Erik and Dan can be seen looking for that “perfect angle” hoisted high up in the air on a forklift in Alameda, California. Not only do they work, but they risk life and limb as well! We hope that you have a safe and fun 10-4 Day. You know that we will! Copyright ©
