EDUCATING TRUCKERS SINCE 1986
Program in Need of More Support

RJ Taylor and his neat old 1951 Kenworth ‘Ol’ Blue’® have been attending truck shows and educating drivers on safety and maintenance since 1986. Operating as a nonprofit organization, Ol’ Blue, USATM (United Safety Alliance, Inc.) and its Safety Center® has become a highly respected feature nationwide. In addition to the safety seminars given at truck shows, Ol’ Blue, USA also has a print and radio program called Ask The LawTM where drivers and fleet owners can get answers to their questions about state laws and federal rules directly from law enforcement officers - at no charge! No other program in the trucking industry can make that claim. We at 10-4 Magazine are proud to be one of the four publications that run the Ask The Law print column each and every month as a public service. Today, Ol’ Blue, USA needs help in continuing with its programs. They need more sponsors, donations and/or a federal grant. This program is vital to the trucking industry - if it went away, drivers would have nowhere to turn to get the information they need to run safely and legally. If you own a company (or work for one) involved in the trucking industry and feel strongly that educating drivers is important, we are asking you to consider becoming a corporate sponsor of this organization. Ol’ Blue, USA does a lot of good out there, but without help and support from the industry, they will no longer be able to offer the services they have provided for over 20 years. Visit their website at www.olblueusa.org for more details, or come see them in action at The Truck Show Las Vegas on June 7-9 in booths 2534 & 2539. Law enforcement officers will be on hand to answer questions and give hourly logbook presentations and seminars on hours-of-service. We encourage you to consider supporting this worthy cause.
