“Trick My
Truck” Scheduled to Debut!
Finally, Something on TV for Truckers
After a long wait, it looks like
“Trick My Truck” will finally start running in February. After several
postponements and delays, the series “Trick My Truck” is scheduled to
premier on February 3rd on the Country Music Television (CMT) station.
Molded after shows like “Pimp My Ride” and all the motorcycle build programs,
trucks in need of some attention are chosen to get a complete, top to
bottom, exterior and interior make-over worth up to $80,000. We’re talking
some radical concepts and themes - not just a little chrome and paint.
The truck shown in the photo here (Inferno) is an example of the kinds
of rigs that will be created on the show. One of the trucks will feature
a patriotic theme and another ended up with a low-rider theme. But that’s
all we’re saying here - if you want to see them all (there have been eight
trucks completed so far) you’ll just have to tune in starting
on Friday, February 3rd. Trucks were chosen for the show from videos,
photos and e-mails that had been sent to the production company putting
the show together. The producers were not only looking for trucks in desperate
need of some work, but also for moving and inspirational stories behind
their owners. The truck owners also get the pleasure of slipping into
a brand spankin’ new Western Star loaner truck to drive while their rig
is being redone. Each loaner rig is custom lettered with the driver’s
identification names and numbers, as well as some promotion for the show.
The rebuilds are done by “The Boyz” at Chrome Shop Mafia, 4-State Trucks
and Pickett Custom Trucks (see photo). Under the direction of Bryan “Bossman”
Martin, his creative crew of six features fabricators, builders, painters
and an audio/video specialist. And these guys are the best! So flip on
the tube on Friday, February 3rd, turn to CMT, and see what Truckin’ TV
is all about. Finally, something on TV for truckers! Stay tuned.
