Dozens of rigs rolled into the parking lot of Got Shine Big Rig Accessories in Ontario, California on Sunday April 14th, to participate in the store’s 2nd annual truck beauty show. And with a fantastic turnout and nice weather, the show was a rousing success.

Steve, Got Shine’s owner, and Linda, the store manager, wanted to send their special thanks out to all those who attended and made this event one to remember. With 72 trucks, 25 show cars, a couple Harley’s and an estimated 1,500 spectators, there was plenty to marvel at. Some went all out, and some just gave their truck a quick wash down, but all had fun.

Some of the store’s suppliers provided raffle prizes like bumpers, light bars, stacks, T-shirts, frame bolt kits, car and truck cleaning products and more. Steve wanted to thank Valley Chrome, Lifetime Lug Nut, Grand General and Cooper’s Car & Truck Care products for providing some of the giveaways. Steve also wanted to send out an apology to Jesse Perez of Rad’s Transport. It seems a math error, discovered after the show ended, kept him from getting a trophy. After the error was corrected, Jesse had tied for first place with the winner of his class. Steve is making sure that he gets the well-deserved trophy that he didn’t get at the show.

Freshly grilled hot dogs were cooking on an open fire while the band “Road Dawgs” performed classic and modern rock hits atop a D & M Hay Hauling flatbed. The event’s atmosphere was fun and light-hearted but the competition was pretty fierce. It seems that everybody wanted to take a trophy home, but, unfortunately, not everybody can.
