It is amazing how rapidly 2022 passed us by without a second thought. We had hoped for a favorable year, but unfortunately it came in like a lion and just kept on roaring. We can only hope that we have a better year in 2023. For those of you who are interested in the mystical side of life, there is a very interesting man named Michel de Nostradame (AKA Nostradamus) who published his poetic “quatrains” which he called Judicial astrology. He is well known for his predictions through the centuries. Some of his predictions were the fire of London, the French Revolution, Adolf Hitler, President Kennedy’s assassination, the moon landing, and 9/11. That is why he is so popular and has continued to have a following through the centuries. Some of his predictions for 2023, which were written over 1,473 years ago, included an anti-Christ appearing, the beginning of WWIII, a nuclear blast, 27 years of war, and a 9.8 earthquake in the Mariana Trench at the bottom of the ocean. Yikes! Also, President Biden will suffer a mysterious disease and President Trump will become the Governor of the Army (whatever that is). Okay, enough gloom and doom. How about some fun! On February 12, 2023, Super Bowl LVII will held be at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Now, if you feel brave and want to make some predictions of your own (or wagers), here are just a few odds: Buffalo Bills 6-1, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 15-2, Green Bay Packers 11-1, Kansas City Chiefs 11-1, Los Angeles Rams 12-1, Los Angeles Chargers 15-1, and San Francisco 49ers 16-1. Since this is being written in December, these predictions/odds can change, but it is fun to watch the placement. No matter what this year will bring, we have changed and learned how to live in a different society. The most important thing is that we have learned to enjoy each and every disaster-free day (when we are lucky enough to get them). I am interested in watching this new year unfold but have no bold predictions like Nostradamus. For 2023, I would just say, do not worry, and remember this too shall pass. Start with a positive attitude, because one can never know. This year may not be so bad – it might even surprise us. So, to each and every one of you, here’s wishing you a healthy and prosperous 2023.
