SHOW-ON-THE-ROAD
BY TRUCK DRIVER & WRITER BRYAN WELSH
Featuring some of the nicest rigs that run
up and down the road every day.
Haulin’ milk with timely service is no problem for Rick Mallorie and his 1995 Freightliner. Powered by a 625 hp C16 Cat, this clean truck, pulling a mirrored 6,200 gallon Brenner trailer, gets the job done. Award-winning Mallorie’s Dairy Inc. of Silverton, OR has been producing and bottling some of Oregon’s finest milk since being founded by Rick’s father Bob Mallorie in 1954. Starting small, Rick and his family built the business into a large-scale operation with hard work and determination. Rick, pictured here with his granddaughter, has never been a stranger to “Getting the job done,” and this is very obvious when you see one of his seven rigs out on the road, hauling everything from inbound feed to outbound bottled milk. We at 10-4 Magazine, in addition to Terri, Spanky and Rick’s whole crew, would like to say, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY RICK!”
