“GOLDIE” NEEDS
A GOOD HOME This month’s “creation” is a new 2007 Peterbilt 379 Extended Hood that Clint built for a friend named Tommy. Clint ordered the truck and then he and Tommy watched it be produced at the Peterbilt plant – they even drove it off the assembly line. Halfway through Clint’s portion of the build, Peterbilt announced the release of their Legacy Class Edition – a collector’s series commemorating the last 1,000 model 379’s. Tommy really wanted one of those “collector” trucks, so they stopped working on this one and ordered him a Legacy. Now that this one is finished, it is going up for sale. This is a rare opportunity to own one of Clint’s cool creations (this is one of his all-time favorites). The truck, which sits on a low air leaf suspension, has a 625 Cat and a 300” wheelbase. Painted a factory three-color paint scheme of Gold Pearl with Cream stripes broken with Burgundy Metallic pinstripes and frame (that’s right, a factory-painted metallic frame), this flat top stands tall in the crowd. Clint reskinned the doors and then continued the paint scheme on the inside of all the doors. He also added a custom bowtie visor, smooth deck plating, a shox box, old-style mirrors and a new Peterbilt navigation system. Much more was done to this truck, and Clint wants to see “Goldie” go to a good home. Priced to sell, this rig has only 129 miles on it, and the warranties won’t start until it leaves the shop (extended warranties are available to purchase for those that desire). If you or someone you know is interested, give Clint a call at (913) 484-7768 or send him an e-mail to clintmoore@kcpete.com – but you’d better hurry, because this baby won’t last long. Copyright ©
