BRIAN’S “DR. PEPPER” TRUCK
The Latest Project from Truck Builder Clint Moore

Clint Moore’s latest creation was built for Brian Bourdeaux of Bourdeaux Enterprises Inc. out of Princeton, Minnesota. Although this rig looks somewhat stock, a lot of work was done to it. Most of the work done to Brian’s truck involved modifications to help it last a long time. Brian lives in Minnesota and runs in the Midwest, so his truck needed to be able to endure the harsh weather that occurs in these regions of the country. Of course, a few things were done to make it look “cool” as well, but the majority of work was done to protect Brian’s investment.

The truck is a 2007 Peterbilt 379 with a 48” flattop sleeper, a Cat C-15 with 550 horsepower, an 18-speed tranny and a 249” wheelbase on a low air suspension. The truck was ordered plain white, and as soon as it arrived, they began tearing it down. After completely disassembling the truck, they sandblasted the frame rails and then applied an epoxy primer, white paint, and then clear coated the whole thing to ensure that the truck’s undercarriage would look good for years. When describing the color scheme to Clint, the only example Brian could find was a Dr. Pepper box, so this truck quickly became known as “The Dr. Pepper Truck” to everyone in the shop. Once the frame was completed, the truck was reassembled and the Burgundy and Viper Red paint job was sprayed.

In addition to the custom paint, Clint and his crew added double hump WTI fiberglass fenders (painted to match), a custom powder coated drop visor, seven bullet lights on top of the cab, body drop panels with underneath lighting and a shox box with lights. Clint and his crew also removed all four of the doors and painted the insides, as well as the air and fuel tanks and the door handles, to help protect them from the elements (and because it looks good). Inside, the seat bases were swapped out with low profile models and slid back for more leg room and a smooth aluminum floor, powder coated white, was installed.

Bourdeaux Trucking began in 1993 and was incorporated to Bourdeaux Enterprises Inc. in 1996. Over the years, Brian has gone through a lot of growth and owned many trucks and trailers. In 2005, Dawn joined the fleet when she married Brian and took over all of the office duties. One year later, more growth came as the couple added L.B. (Luke Brian) to the family. Currently, Brian, Dawn and Luke run two trucks and four trailers (end dumps), running anywhere and everywhere, but mostly in the Midwest. Their motto is, “If it can be put in a bucket, we can truck it!” Brian is also a distributor of cleaning and polishing products, which keeps him busy delivering orders throughout much of the country.

Clint loves it when Brian comes to the shop and brings Luke with him. Luke is just five weeks older than Clint’s son Trucker. Going through the same parenting stuff, the two dads always have a lot to talk about and notes to compare. We’re sure they probably talk a little truck as well, from time to time.
