IT ALL WORKED
OUT IN THE END Clint Moore’s latest creation was originally ordered for an owner operator that works for Shane Gigstad of SMG Transport in Horton, Kansas, but due to an unexpected divorce, the owner operator could not take it. Shane agreed to buy it, but he really didn’t like the green and white paint scheme it came with. Clint told Shane that he wanted to add a dark green stripe to the scheme. Shane agreed to let him do it saying, “If you have a vision, you’d better get it on.” So Clint and his crew added the dark green stripe and signature “hook” paint job to the 2007 Pete 379 featuring a 63” flattop, a 625 HP Cat, a 280” wheelbase and low air-leaf suspension. After the paint was complete, the guys added a custom drop visor, five bullet lights with clear lenses and 7” miter-cut stacks. Then, they painted the fuel tanks and air tanks green, put four bands on the air tanks to match the fuel tanks and installed a motor meter hood ornament. The rear of the truck was fitted with WTI fenders which were painted to match and Rhino lined underneath for protection from the elements. Up front, the finishing touch was a set of double 359 headlights on JJ brackets. When Shane saw the truck, he was surprised at how much he liked it. He told Clint that he was proud to add it to his fleet. Shane’s trucks pull RGNs, step-decks, flatbeds and lowboys throughout all of the 48 states. If you happen to see this truck or one of his others out on the road, give the driver a shout, because he’s got a cool boss. Copyright ©
