LONG N’ LOW
AND ON THE GO
THE LATEST PROJECT FROM CLINT MOORE
Clint Moore’s latest creation is
a new Peterbilt put together for Bobby Harrison of Wake Forest, North
Carolina. According to Clint, Bobby is one of the coolest guys you could
ever meet. In 2004, Bobby had quadruple bypass surgery and while he was
recovering he made the decision to sell his beloved 2001 Pete 70” high-roof
with a C16 Cat named “Kil Roy’s Toy.” The next morning he woke up and
said, “Lord, what have I done!” That’s when he called Clint and told him
that he wanted to have the “perfect” truck built. Bobby’s ride is a brand
new Peterbilt with a 63” flat-top sleeper, a 312” wheelbase, a 625 horsepower
C-15 Acert Cat, 18-speed transmission, 3.36 rears on a low air suspension
with a car hauler front axle. The paint was done at the factory and, after
he got the truck, Clint added clear-lens LED lights everywhere, a 22”
Valley Chrome bumper, smooth stainless deck
plating, stainless cab and sleeper panels, and a total of six polished
battery boxes. Clint and his team also installed 7” straight stacks and
a set of WTI fiberglass fenders. Inside, the truck has a full gauge
package, a Mahogany wood floor, low-rider seats, an Alpine navigation
system and an XM radio. At 67 years young, Bobby is married to his Sweetie
Mae. The happy couple has four children, six grandchildren and one great
grandchild. Bobby runs from North Carolina to Los Angeles every other
week and has been trucking for 44 years. He says that he’ll retire when
he can drive from NC to CA without driving through any construction zones.
I guess that won’t be anytime soon! If you see Bobby out there running,
be sure to give him a shout.
