“It’s Just Me and the Truck”
The Latest Project from Truck Builder Clint Moore

Clint Moore’s latest creation was built for Curvin Martin out of Ephrata, Pennsylvania. Curvin grew up on a dairy farm with three brothers and two sisters. His dad had an old manure truck, but as soon as Curvin was old enough to get his CDL, he said good-bye to the milking cows and hit the road. When Curvin first contacted Clint, he told him that he was disappointed with many of the changes Peterbilt had made to their trucks and that he wanted what he wanted - not what they were building. Always up for a challenge, Clint took on the project. The frame and drivetrain are about the only parts of this truck that did not get altered or changed in some way. The doors were reskinned and custom mirrors and brackets made by 12 Gauge Customs were installed. The interior was replaced with a Seattle KW interior package and a set of custom dash panels from Carl at Rockwood, then the entire truck was rewired back to old school toggle switches. The front fenders were replaced and a lip was added to match the rear fenders. Double 359 headlights on Double JJ brackets were installed, as well as an oval-pattern grill with KW-style bars. The air cleaners were chopped and made strapless, seven-inch pipes were added and a smooth deck plate, complete with a trunk and rear drop panel, was installed. So much was done to this truck that it is hard to mention it all. Curvin runs back and forth across the country hauling produce and says, “It’s just me and the truck.” And now that he has a new rig, that philosophy isn’t so bad (that is, until he finds a good woman that likes to ride). Clint wanted to thank Curvin for his patience, as it took him five months to complete his truck. Clint said, “Projects like these are always exciting at first, scary in the middle and so gratifying at the end. It’s a rollercoaster ride, but ain’t it fun. I love my job!”
