“Failure is not an option. You gotta push yourself to get to where and what you want!”
Eduardo Lopez of Salinas, California
Salinas-born Eduardo Lopez was 18 when his father got into a bad accident and was forced to ask his boy, “Will you take over, or do we have to sell our three trucks?” There was no doubt in Eduardo’s mind – he had been working with his dad since he was 13. He asked his 17-year-old brother, Marcos, to support him, and over the next five years they loaded every truck every single day, they never lost an account or customer, and increased their fleet from three reefer trucks to seven. Now 23, Eduardo plans to continue building the fleet up, slowly and steadily, using the hard-working principles his father taught him when he was just a little kid. Now, this “kid” and his sharp 310-inch long Peterbilt are catching attention and inspiring other young people, which is a great example of the “Spirit of the American Trucker!”
