Do heads turn when you drive by? Well, they will if you drive this rig! This month’s cool “creation” was built for the folks at RoadWorks Manufacturing in Lafayette, Indiana. Every year, for the past six years, Clint has ordered and built the official show truck for RoadWorks. Then, after touring the country, attending shows and other events throughout the year, the truck is returned to the dealership and sold so another one can be ordered and built for the next year.
The truck seen here is RoadWorks’ 2012 show truck and it is now for sale at Kansas City Peterbilt. This is an amazing opportunity to purchase a (basically) brand new truck, outfitted with a custom paint job and tons of RoadWorks accessories, at a reasonable price. This thing has never even been hooked to a trailer and has less than 16,000 miles on the odometer!
The rig is a custom-ordered 2012 Peterbilt 388 car-hauler with a 63-inch flattop. Powered by an ISX 600 Cummins hooked to an 18-speed transmission, the truck sits on a Low Low-Air suspension, 22.5 Dura-Bright aluminum wheels all around, and has a Platinum interior package. Ordered in a beautiful maroon metallic color, after it arrived, Rick in the body shop added some cream and mocha accents, along with painting the grill surround, and then the other guys out in the shop fitted it with a set of Fibertech full rear fenders and front fenders. They also painted the fuel tanks, installed Lincoln Chrome dummy pipes, and two beautiful matching “Legacy LO” seats from Seats Inc. Once that initial stuff was completed, the truck went home to RoadWorks where they equipped it with all of their latest and greatest
accessories. This truck has it all!
RoadWorks prides themselves in making the best “lingerie” for trucks – you know, the kind of stuff that gets your heart racing! Started in 1994 with just three employees and a good idea, RoadWorks now offers a large and diverse catalog of aftermarket goodies for semi-trucks, as well as one-of-a-kind special order items upon request, and has become a leading manufacturer of cool accessories for trucks. In June of 2006, they moved into their current manufacturing facility in Lafayette, Indiana. To see everything they offer, visit www.roadworksmfg.com or find them on Facebook and/or YouTube.
If you are interested in this sweet ride and want to take the show on the road, go see it at Kansas City Peterbilt or give Clint (or your sales rep) a call at (800) 489-1122 to find out more information and pricing. Trust us when we say, for how much was spent on this truck and for how little it has been used, it is priced to sell – and a great opportunity just waiting to be had. So, give them a call or go see the truck in person – we guarantee it will turn your head!
