Yes, the month of November is here. It is amazing how fast 2020 and 2021 have flown by – it reminds me of old movies. When the movie makers wanted to show the passing of time, they would show a daily calendar and have the pages flipping faster and faster. Nowadays, it seems like the days, weeks and years are just flying away (like those calendar pages). It could be that so much is occurring around the world that time has no meaning. But stop a moment and get off this merry-go-round of constant bad news. Look around and realize this is the month of November – a month that is dedicated to thankfulness. We even celebrate with a wonderful feast and a gathering of family and friends. This is the month to quiet your soul and go to that special place within you and be thankful for what has occurred this past year. Close off the world and just meditate on your friends, family, and your life. It is not an easy thing to do, but you can do it and realize how blessed you are. No one is denying that this last year was very hard, but with hope and faith we are making it through. When you do enter that quiet place, think of all the events in your life that have strengthened you and caused your faith to grow. That faith will assist you for what is to come. Can your faith guarantee it will be easier? No, but you will know you are not alone, for your faith is giving you comfort. No one can predict the future, but this great country was never paved with streets of gold, but hard work and sweat. When our ancestors stepped foot in this country no one helped them – they worked day and night to give their family a better life. When the banks failed and hard times lasted 10 years, everyone made do and kept faith in their country. Then the most horrific war engulfed the world, but our brave men never let this country down, including the wars to follow. We have inherited a great country built on the backs of past generations, but we must remain diligent, because our country is strongest and best when we keep faith in our flag and what it represents – freedom! Yes, we have much to be thankful for in our life. Let’s not forget that. Much of our faith lies in the hard-working truckers of America, who keep this country moving… no matter what! Keep up the good work, be thankful for what you have, and have faith that tomorrow has unlimited possibilities.
