There was no truck show last year in Hubbard, Iowa. By now, we have all realized where this COVID rocket is aiming at – destruction of family, small businesses, and our true social lives. Well, Central Iowa folks have their own treatment for it! Michelle Lee Ferell, seen here, said, “I think everyone at the show was a little closer and friendlier this year.” Indeed, we saw people hugging, kissing, laughing, and shaking hands, truly enjoying meeting others. Her boyfriend Jonathan Haak, also seen here, noticed not only were people nicer to each other, but more came out to the show this year, too. “We are a big family, just doing what we love, in the rigs we love.” Yes, he used the word LOVE twice in one sentence, which is fitting, since these two are getting married in October of this year! The Cornpatch Dual Wheel Truck Show founder and organizer Tracey Rieks is proud of one more thing, saying, “All the trucks here are driven daily by hard-working people – no big corporations here!” We all had a great time together reminding ourselves this is exactly what makes America great!!
