Every purposeful life has a plan to it. Once goals in your life are synchronized with that big plan, good things will start happening to you. It’s a given. And, if your plan happened to be like mine (or the proud gentleman in this picture), you’ll wanna keep trucking till you die and they have to pry your cold fingers from the shifter! The thing is though, it’s not that easy to keep rambling in that truck you love for so long. The economy will do its crazy swings, over-regulation will be chasing you like you are a bad man and, on top of that, a bunch of heavy-duty parts on your beloved rig will start falling apart. Your very own body might need a fix once in a while, too (trucking is not easy). Now, here is the point I wanna make: if you are a truly committed trucker, you will know to focus on finding SOLUTIONS instead of PROBLEMS, because there will always be problems to deal with – that’s just truckin! Everything good and bad (especially the latter) that happens to you is simply preparing you for the future, and how to handle that “problem” better the next time. So, the more failures you experience, the stronger you get at the end. My guess is that the driver of this old classic rig has learned a lot, over the years! If you are still reading this, there is a good chance that we share the same plan. Happy trucking, my friends – the “spirit” is alive and well, but it is gonna die if we don’t educate the next generation and teach them how to truck right!
