The American Trucker is invaluable – he keeps the whole economy on his trailer. By putting his “pedal to the metal” and getting the job done, he makes sure that the myriad of businesses out there have access to the 300 million available customers across this great nation. Simply put, the American Trucker enables the largest free market in the world to exist. And while doing his job, he creates jobs, too – from truck factories, repair shops, truck stops, dealerships, custom and add-on suppliers, and even trucking magazines. The true American Trucker shares his passion with millions of motorists who admire his machine, which helps to awaken the independent spirit in their lives, as well. It may not be the most glamorous job, but the American Trucker, like the one seen here, has one of the most important (and envied) jobs on the planet – and for that, we salute them! Here’s an interesting side-note to this photo, which was taken on I-80 at the Nebraska/Wyoming state line (where the color of the road changes). The tractor is in Nebraska and the trailer is still in Wyoming!
