Americans have always been hard-working and optimistic. I recently experienced that optimism when my reefer quit doing its job. I was lucky to get unloaded with no harm, but I was disgusted. How could my unit fail after just 3,800 hours? I went to the Carrier dealer in Denver and met one of their field engineers, who just happened to be visiting that day. He personally took the project on and addressed all of my concerns during our two hour chat. Apparently, chasing perfection is still an everyday job for many here in America. The engineer said, “Europeans expect problems with every product they build – we here in the United States, don’t.”
